As part of the MD.net project, on July 2nd the Chamber of Commerce of Seville is organising the “Culture of Tapa, Tourism and Mediterranean Diet” Forum. The event, hosted in their head offices, will congregate more than 60 representatives from local companies and experts related with Gastronomy, Mediterranean Diet and Tourism.
Tourism and Gastronomy are strongly linked in Andalusia region and specially in Seville, and represent one of the most important sectors in this region. During the event, some workshops with these experts will take place with the aim to give value to the culture of "tapa" as an essential element of the Mediterranean Diet and its impact in the tourism development of the region. The impact will be reviewed from the academic perspective and, as a result of the Living Lab, the conclusions they will reach will be presented at the end of the event as guidelines to be followed to reinforce these sectors.
The Forum is organised in collaboration with important local stakeholders such as PRODETUR (Agency for Tourism of Seville Province), Tourism of Seville, Gastronomy and Tourism Sevillian Academy, Hospitality Association of Seville, Seville Congress & Convention Bureau and Hotels Association of Seville.
