Mediterranean Diet, integrated projects for young people of Cilento
The town of Vallo della Lucania (Salerno, Italy) hosted the second living lab "Tale of the Mediterranean Diet". In Cilento, the Campania Region, together with local stakeholders planned 4 living labs to identify enhancement and fruition actions involving agricultural enterprises, tourist and catering companies related to the Mediterranean Diet.
Antonio Aloia, Mayor of Vallo della Lucania, highlighted health and research aspects. Chiara Marciani, Region Councilor for the Equal opportunities and Training, proposed an opportunity for young people through a synergy with other regional projects of the "Youth Welfare" measure. Nadia Caragliano, Regional Director of Social Policies and Health Associations, underlined the importance of the creation of a network among local stakeholders. Maria Ricchiuti, Regional Councilor of Campania and promoter of the new regional regulation Social Cooperatives, and the anthropologist Marino Niola took part in the living lab emphasizing the potential of the "Mediterranean diet" brand.
