According to Daniela Puglielli, founder of the Mediterranean Diet Roundtable (MDR), a US-born initiative to promote Mediterranean products within North American countries, Mediterranean food is increasingly gaining ground among US consumers.
As evidence of that, Puglielli reports an increase in olive oil consumption within the United States and, therefore, highlights the wide potential of the North American market for the Mediterranean agri-food sector.
