As part of the MD.net Project, our Spanish partners - Mediterranean Diet Foundation, PRODECA and Seville Chamber of Commerce - are launching an On-line training under the title of "Trends and opportunities of the Mediterranean Diet".
The main objectives of the course are
1) Develop a common and broader vision in relation to the concept of the Mediterranean Diet
2) Share theoretical and practical knowledge of the Mediterranean Diet
3) Explore the interest and innovative potential of this lifestyle for the development of social and economic activities promoted by individuals and, especially, by SMEs
The training is structured in 3 modules of 4 units each and presents an overview of the Mediterranean Diet, approaching the concept from three different areas: Health & Food, Economic & Sustainable Production and Culture & Touristic Heritage.
It will be taught by a team of highly qualified teachers with extensive experience in these subjects. The course is aimed at any Spanish speaking person, with or without prior knowledge of the Mediterranean Diet, who wants to discover or delve into the lifestyle that this diet prompts and identifies. At the end of the course, students will acquire knowledge that will help them to identify the potential of this diet as a distinctive sign that contributes on social and economic value to a product and / or service.
