On October 16 th PRODECA attended at Tomorrow Tastes Mediterranean, an International Conference organized by Torribera Mediterranean Center (TMC) with the collaboration of the Universitat de Barcelona (UB) and The Culinary Institute of America.
Tomorrow Tastes Mediterranean addressed key issues such as the future of the Mediterranean Diet and how it will be integrated into the food sector of the future, to provide business and culinary strategies aimed at new generations of consumers to make them prefer eating in a delicious, healthy and environmentally friendly way.
Renowned chefs and academics from the Mediterranean region, such as Maira Bes Rastrollo, Ramon Estruch and Isma Prados, were some of the speakers of the Conference. The subjects of the sessions were among others; The advances in the Mediterranean diet: research, education, health, sustainability, and culinary culture; The future of Mediterranean food: innovation in the culinary and business sectors; The kitchen "plant forward" and the Mediterranean: preserve the tradition and rethink it; The Mediterranean diet: new trends and the configuration of preferences; Imperatives of sustainability: what can we learn from the traditional Mediterranean model?
PRODECA took advantage of this international event to catch up with the current trends on the Mediterranean Diet and to identify those relevant actors that could provide knowledge and thought-provoking content to the work that is being carried out by the Interreg project "MD.net: When Brand meets people"
